Policy / Terms

Terms for the founding pilot.

Dowelify helps people reason about physical work and preserve its basis. These terms establish the pilot relationship and the line between model proposals and human authority.

1. The agreement

These terms are between you and Reachability Labs, the maker and operator of Dowelify. You accept them when you enroll in and use Dowelify. Merely requesting an invitation does not accept these terms.

Dowelify is an invitation-only pilot. Access requires a personal, non-transferable invitation and may be limited, changed, suspended, or ended as the pilot develops. You must be at least 18 and able to enter a contract.

2. What Dowelify is

Dowelify is a workspace for the record behind physical work: observations, evidence, measurements, sources, decisions, actions, and outcomes kept together in an attributed Job. It uses AI models to help authorized people reason about what to inspect or consider next.

AI output is probabilistic. It can be wrong, incomplete, outdated, or confidently mistaken. A preserved record can show the basis of a decision; it does not prove that the decision or resulting work was correct.

3. Human authority—read this section

Every AI suggestion, likely cause, path, part recommendation, or procedure is a proposal for your consideration. It is not engineering, electrical, plumbing, structural, mechanical, medical, legal, or other professional advice, and no professional-client relationship is created.

Only people decide and perform physical work. Dowelify's current application boundary reserves records of performed work, acceptance, and return-to-service release for an authorized person's explicit action. An AI proposal cannot stand in for that human record.

Physical work can cause injury, death, and property damage. You are responsible for deciding whether to act, following applicable laws, codes, permits, manufacturer instructions, and safety procedures, using suitable protective equipment, and involving a licensed professional wherever required or whenever you are unsure. You assume the risks of work you perform or authorize.

4. Your content

You retain ownership of content you put into Dowelify. You grant Reachability Labs the limited permission to host, store, process, transmit, and display that content as needed to provide, secure, maintain, and support the service for you.

You are responsible for having the rights to content you add and for the accuracy of records you personally attest to. Attribution is part of the product: your contributions are identified to other authorized participants in the Job.

Private Job content is not used to train general-purpose AI models without a separate explicit opt-in. The Privacy Policy explains provider processing and your data choices.

5. Acceptable use

You may not use Dowelify to:

  • Break the law, threaten safety, or intentionally harm people or property.
  • Access another person's account or a Job you are not authorized to see.
  • Probe, evade, or interfere with the service's security or operation.
  • Upload malicious code, scrape the service, or resell pilot access.
  • Misrepresent an AI proposal as certified professional judgment.
  • Share or transfer an account, session, or invitation.

6. Pilot status

Dowelify is under active development. Features may change, become unavailable, or occasionally fail. Reachability Labs does not promise uninterrupted service or perfect preservation during the pilot.

You may request an export of your Jobs through privacy@dowelify.com. During the pilot, exports and deletion requests may be prepared and verified manually.

7. Disclaimers, liability, and indemnity

No warranties

To the maximum extent allowed by law, Dowelify is provided "as is" and "as available", without express or implied warranties, including accuracy, reliability, availability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, Reachability Labs is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or for losses arising from physical work you perform or authorize. Reachability Labs' total liability for all claims relating to Dowelify is limited to the greater of the amount you paid for the service during the preceding 12 months or US$100.

Indemnity

You will defend and hold Reachability Labs harmless from third-party claims arising from your content, your misuse of Dowelify, or physical work you perform or authorize, except to the extent caused by Reachability Labs' own breach of these terms.

8. Ending access and general terms

You may stop using Dowelify at any time and request deletion under the Privacy Policy. Reachability Labs may suspend or end access for a breach, unsafe or abusive use, interference with the service, or a change to the pilot, with notice where practical.

Colorado law governs these terms, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If one provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue. These terms and the Privacy Policy form the agreement for the pilot. If these terms change materially, enrolled users will receive notice.
